If you are looking for a Somerset wedding venue for your magical day I am happy to recommend St Audries Park, a breathtaking Georgian Manor sitting amongst some of the most beautiful surroundings this area has to offer. First mentioned in the Doomsday Book, back in 1086, the St Audries Park Manor has certainly seen some sights over the years and more recently, some of the most magical wedding events.

More About St Audries Park

St Audries Park is a short drive from the picturesque village of Williton, located close to Bristol, Taunton and is well linked to the rest of the South West. When you arrive, you will be taken aback by the formidable and yet welcoming beautifully maintained gothic-style manor house as it appears before you down the winding driveway.

Nestled in the Quantock Hills, St Audries Park features beautiful meadows, well-maintained estate grounds. Look out for some very special guests by way of the free-roaming deer located around the 100-acre deer park who also enjoy this delightful location. The house itself does not let you down with breathtaking views around the park and across the Bristol channel.

A Beautiful Wedding Venue Inside and Out

If the house frontage were not impressive enough the interiors really will make you gasp. Whether you are looking for a magical Harry Potter style setting, a formal, somewhat regal feel or a fairytale wedding, the roaring fires, wood-panelled walls, quirks such as a minstrel’s gallery and more all add up to what is known in the wedding community to a venue that offers everything you could possibly want. I have shot at some gorgeous wedding venues but there is something very special about St Audries.

Enjoy the light that floods in from the large windows, the beautiful countryside views, the grandeur of the banqueting hall and the venue centrepiece, the jewel in the crown that is the Orangery. With a setting like this, a wedding during any season, from the first days of spring when the bluebells and snowdrops are emerging to the dramatic reds and golds of autumn is just an enquiry away.

Your Wedding Your Way

When they first get in touch I tell couples that getting married is all about them. This is the beginning of your married life together and at St Audries Park they want to help you create a day that is as individual as you are. Nothing is too much trouble. Civil ceremonies or church services, same-sex weddings, vow renewals, themed events, ethically sourced food, a staff-served hog roast barbeque, wedding breakfasts and more are all on the table. Rather than being overwhelmed with choice, couples looking at St Audries Park for their special day are able to customise their day to suit them, with advice and support from specially trained wedding staff.

Why Choose St Audries Park

There are some truly amazing wedding venues in and around Devon, so why choose St Audries Park? If the testimonials of happy couples isn’t enough (over 2000 weddings have now taken place here), you may be interested to hear that St Audries is an award-winning wedding venue. Most recently (at the time of writing) this unbelievably atmospheric venue was voted ‘Best Coastal Wedding Venue 2019′ at the British Wedding Awards 2019’. This is not an award that is easy to be shortlisted for, let alone actually win. This is a testament not only to the beautifully kept venue and grounds but to the dedication of all of the staff who work tirelessly to create a bespoke wedding experience that delights their couples.

Other accolades received in recent years include being voted ‘Best UK Wedding Venue’ thanks to readers of the Wedding Ideas Magazine at the Wedding Ideas Awards 2013 and they were highly commended in the Best Wedding Venue category for the Perfect Wedding Awards 2012. If you are looking for a gold star venue, you have found it.

In Conclusion

When Emily and Jay, such a wonderful couple, such fun, asked me to be their wedding photographer I was honoured. When I realised that their wedding was being hosted at St Audries Park, I admit, I was more than a little excited!
